Correcting an Invalid VIN

If the VIN does not decode successfully, highlight it, type in the new VIN, and select the Decode VIN button. If the VIN still does not decode, enter a valid Year and Make, and choose the Select Model button. The Vehicle Selection screen opens. Highlight the vehicle you want to select, and choose the Select button.

If the VIN does not decode successfully

1. Open or create the workfile.
2. Select the Vehicle tab, and then select the Description tab.
3. Highlight the incorrect VIN in the VIN filed, and then enter the correct VIN.
4. Select the Decode button if the program does not automatically decode the VIN.

If the VIN does not decode to a CCC standard vehicle selection

1. Open or create the workfile.
2. Select the Vehicle tab, and then select the Description tab.
3. Enter the vehicle year, or select it from the Year droplist.
4. Select the make from the Make droplist
5. Select the model from the Model droplist.
6. Click on the Select Standard Vehicle button. The Select Standard Vehicle screen opens.
7. Click on the vehicle, and then click OK.
